Acquainting Children with cultural Diversity By: Judi Mathis johnson

There are many programs, but not all of htem are educational. A new company that has understanding of diverse cultures through art and traditional folklore. There is a Native American family that has a commitment to community envolvement. They donate part of their profits to provide access to technology in communities of color and schools. This helps students that are developing their English language skills. These programs include activities that have word processor. In order for the students to generate their own stories, illustrate them and print their work. Its a fun way for children to learn technology. One of the programs shows the students how to make their own blanket. They do a lot of cutting and pasting on the screen. Does it have other programs? Another program teaches the students how to cut and paste from different menus and printing. It also introduces typing on typing a story for the puppets they cut and paste. This programs has another section where students learn howto find out information. For example, they can write down a word or sentance and search it to translate it to another language. It includes a map of eighteen fun activities. What are the features of the program? the authenticity, informativeness, and artistic quality.
