How to fight the New Bullies, By: Rosalind Wiseman
Not only does school and class bullying exists, but also cyberbullying which is through the internet. What do you need to know? These bullies use e-mail, instant messages, cell phones, text messages, photos, and videos to bully and threaten others. Bullies do all kinds of things to bully other students. For example, a bully with a cell phone that has a camera would take a picture of a victim who is doing something someone wouldn't normally do in a public place. The bully will then upload the picture onto the computer and forwards it to friends or other people along with cruel comments. How damaging is it for the victims? The article mentions an example of a ninth grader who is affected greatly of this because she is unable to find out who is doing the cyber bullying to her. It got to the extend where she could not concentrate in school. Cyberbullying can be very disturbing. Fortunately there have been some laws fo fix this problem. We can all help solve this problem. For example,If we see a child targeting we can inform the parent. Technology is important for out younger ones, but we need to make sure they are using it the right way without affectiong anybody.
