Enrollment for on line classes has raised sky high in the 2005-2006 school year. Why? to individually personalize schooling and help schools respond to No Child Left Behind legislation. On line learning also serves educational access opportunity for students who are place bound or displaced. This article mentions WebCT where learning management software provides access to a comprehensive set of curriculum materials, including content, student produced resources such as individual web pages, a course calendar, and a syllabus. It also has a discussion board, e-mail, and a drop box for completed assignments.Video conferencing is also important to learn. Self studey is an important aspect of the course using the text book as a tool. There are many roles and responsabilities for K-12 schools. they need to have principals, school counselors, instructructional technology coordinators and students parents or guardians to support. Individuals may take more than one of these roles. As for a teacher, they need communication and classroom organization skills. Teachers also need to effectively use a large variety of communication tools in ways to give students the opportunities to participate fully in activities and stay on task.
