Social Justice Choice or necessity? By: Colleen Swain and David Edyburn

Is it necessary for students to be familiar with technology? It is necessary for students to be familiar with technology and to be able to use technology and need to know how to create presentations. Students with out this have a disadvantage for future educational and employement opportunities. In this societythat is now really advanced in technology. At least 80% of the jobs in the next two decades will require a person to be fluent in technology, if not, students will only have low paying jobs. This is why we all need to know how technology works. How?In order to introduce technology to younger students we can gain classroom access. There are some classrooms that have few access or no computer access, but the article mentions a few ways to solve this problem, we can locate powerful resources, there are a lot of instrucitional technology resources that can help us. there are new resources all the time for educators to use. It is essetial to do a lesson plan on what is going to be covered in class. When teachers decide not to use technology in the classroom, students are disadvantaged. If teachers want to help the students and go guide them to a better future, they should intergrade technology in the class.
