An Emerging Technology For Education By: Linda E. Law

It would be great if all schools had a dome with inflatable dome, projector, software, laptops, and basic show content. Is it possible? Yes, the rapidly advancing process of projection technology has given high resolution projectors at lower prices for the reach of schools. There is a lot of affordable technology. Planetariums were built to teach about the stars, but it was used to teach about astronomy. With fulldome video, its open to all subjects, he dome is a blank convas waiting for students and everyone to explore. The most exciting and educational show to date is the mulecularium, riding snowflakes. It is a 3D animation of molecules, what is it? a magical journey into the world of atoms and molecules. Wow, great way to learn!Digital sky 2 is capable of navigating other information libraries, like DNA! "The innovative teachers who take on the grand breaking work of introducing this technology to their classroom will be rewarded by classes of students who are eager to come to school to learn" Its our responsability to provide our students with tools that match the capabilities of their multitasking minds. We need to help the students to take advantage of their environment that allows them to widen their imaginations in the years where they are more flexible.
